The company emphasised that proper address formatting plays a critical role in ensuring parcels move through the system smoothly and reach their destinations without problems.
According to DPD, anyone shipping a parcel through the service must produce a printed label using the provider’s official templates.
The firm also noted that accurate and comprehensive recipient information is vital for deliveries to proceed without interruption.

Full name
Street name
Property number
Postal code
City or town
When an address is clearly printed, the likelihood of successful delivery improves considerably.
The company also highlighted that PO box addresses cannot be accepted for deliveries.
Printing recommendations from DPD
The delivery service suggested customers use either laser printers or dedicated label printers when producing their documentation.
DPD stated that inkjet devices are prone to sensitivity and require adequate drying time.
Barcodes printed on labels are easily damaged, meaning smudges can render the codes unprocessable.
Should an inkjet printer be the only available option, the company recommended allowing the printed label to dry completely before attaching it to the parcel.
The firm added that when standard paper rather than self-adhesive labels is used, each label should be fully covered with transparent packing tape.

The service recommended using sturdy, well-constructed cardboard boxes capable of maintaining their shape.
Any box that warps or buckles under the weight of its contents should not be used.
For heavier items, the company advised selecting boxes manufactured from premium corrugated cardboard.
These containers should ideally feature double-wall construction to provide maximum strength, longevity, and protection.
Choosing the appropriate box dimensions is equally important, as boxes containing insufficient contents risk collapsing while those packed too full may split open.
