Six new Wetherspoon pubs opening across UK in September 2026

JD Wetherspoon has announced plans to launch six additional pubs across the United Kingdom during September 2026, continuing an expansion programme that has already seen multiple new venues open in the current year.

The operator currently manages more than 800 establishments throughout the country, with further sites now being added to its portfolio.

Earlier this year, new openings were completed in Cornwall, Bath, and Blackpool.

The company also established its first international location in 2025 at Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport in Spain.

A total of twelve forthcoming venues have been confirmed, with the six September openings detailed as follows: The Marshfield Bank Farm House will open in Crewe at Coppenhall Lane, Woolstanwood, CW2 8SD on September 1.

The Red Gown will launch at St Andrews University Students’ Association on September 4.

The Heath Hotel in Southampton at Beaulieu Road, Dibden Purlieu, SO45 4PW will open on September 8.

The Belle Vue will debut at Manchester Airport Terminal 2 Airside on September 15.

The Cranborne Hundred will open in Ferndown at Ringwood Road, BH22 9BB on September 16.

The Fletton Brick will launch in Bedford at Marsh Leys Cottages, Kempston, MK42 7FY on September 29.

Three additional venues are scheduled to open later in 2026.

Piccadilly Hall will open at The Trocadero, 30 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, W1D 7EP on October 13.

The William Chambers will launch at 30a Chambers Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1HU on November 3.

The Benjamin Franklin will open at 11 Strand, London, WC2N 5HR on November 24.

Separately, the chain has introduced restrictions on audible smartphone and tablet use across its estate of 792 pubs.

Customers have complained that amplified phone conversations and video content from personal devices have become increasingly disruptive in recent years.

Management has requested that patrons switch devices to silent mode or use earphones when listening to audio content.
