The actor who currently portrays Mark Fowler Jr on the BBC programme has admitted to previously featuring in a chart-topping music video.
Stephen Aaron-Sipple, known for his role in the long-running London-based soap, has confirmed his involvement in the visual accompanying One Direction’s hit track, which has accumulated in excess of 1.2 billion views on the video platform.
In the footage, viewers can spot the performer engaging in a clash with Zayn Malik, seizing him by the clothing before dousing him with water and pasta.
Sharing details via his Instagram story, the television personality stated that numerous followers had questioned him about it. He described the experience as wonderful and recalled the former boyband member as being exceptionally pleasant.
The music video premiered on November 14, 2014, and marked the final release featuring Malik before his exit from the group the following March.
Mr Aaron-Sipple became a regular cast member in October 2025, having previously made a fleeting appearance in 2020 portraying a delivery person. His character made a notable comeback during a flash-forward episode broadcast on January 1, 2027, initially listed simply as man in the credits.
Prior to securing this position, he had parts in The Outlaws, Silo, and The Witcher. He succeeded Ned Porteous in the role, with Mr Porteous having last appeared in the series a decade prior.
Meanwhile, Michelle Ryan is preparing for an exciting fresh venture following her departure from the BBC drama. The performer, famed for her portrayal of Zoe Slater, is slated to return to live theatre more than ten years after her previous stage appearance.
