A group of Freemasons is preparing for an ambitious fundraising feat to bolster their record-setting charitable campaign.

Members of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Middlesex will descend the famous Freemasons’ Hall in London on Saturday, August 8, to collect donations for the Middlesex 2031 Festival Appeal.

Event planners expect the initiative to help push the appeal’s total to £1.25 million.

Spokespeople for Middlesex Freemasonry described the effort as a distinctive chance to blend personal challenge, public exposure and charitable intent while supporting initiatives that truly change lives.

The Middlesex 2031 Festival represents a five-year fundraising drive managed by the Freemasons and has already accumulated more than £1 million in just over three months.

Middlesex Freemasonry has extensive experience backing charitable organisations and community ventures throughout the area.

Recent contributions include £15,000 to St Luke’s Hospice for its Palliative Care Nursing Programme and £15,000 to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices toward renovating its Hydrotherapy Pool facilities.

The Freemasons Charity focuses on improving lives by creating opportunities, enhancing healthcare and education, and fostering self-sufficiency.

Its activities cover numerous areas, including Grant Awards and Community Funding, Assistance for Members and Their Families, Emergency Disaster Support, and Volunteer and Neighbourhood Projects.

The forthcoming charity abseil intends to generate both donations and wider recognition for the appeal.
