A "small number" of cancellations will affect passengers travelling from Shannon and Cork airports. Flights to London Heathrow, ­Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, and Edinburgh will also be cancelled, with passengers rebooked onto other services, the Sunday Independent said. All these flights will be cancelled for nearly five weeks while the airport is closed, affecting thousands of Brits travelling to southwest Spain.
