Neasden Temple Diwali fireworks return on Sunday November 8th

Published on

The annual Diwali festivities at Neasden Temple are set to take place on Sunday, November 8th, with the Hindu community marking the occasion through a series of traditional ceremonies and entertainment.

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden will host its observance beginning with devotional rituals at 5.45pm.

These proceedings include ceremonial blessings for business records and prayers seeking prosperity in the coming year.

A marketplace offering various food options and retail goods will operate in Brentfield Road adjacent to the temple.

Visitors attending the event can receive complimentary confectionery and a calendar featuring imagery from 2027.

As darkness falls, a complimentary firework presentation is scheduled for 8pm at Gibbons Recreation Ground, concluding the day’s programme of activities.

Diwali represents the Hindu festival celebrating the metaphorical victory of illumination over obscurity and righteousness over malevolence.

The occasion holds significant cultural importance for adherents worldwide.

A dedicated shuttle bus will transport attendees between Neasden Station and the temple site at ten-minute intervals throughout the evening, commencing at 5.30pm.

Following the pyrotechnic display, return services will operate at eight-minute intervals until 9.30pm.

Officers from British Transport Police will be stationed at the railway hub to provide assistance throughout the event.

Additionally, vehicular parking provisions have been arranged at the pink parking facility in Wembley Park, available from 3pm until 10pm on the day, with connecting transport running to and from the venue.

Attendees are discouraged from bringing oversized luggage.

All parcels will undergo inspection, and those exceeding dimensions of 35cm by 20cm by 10cm must be deposited at the dedicated baggage storage area.
