Council proposes removing and adding disabled parking bays in Harrow

Published on

Modifications to disabled parking facilities in Harrow are under consideration by the local authority.

The proposed adjustments involve eliminating designated spaces and establishing fresh ones throughout the borough.

The initiative stems from a re-evaluation of the existing traffic regulation governing complimentary parking zones for disabled individuals.

The council is considering introducing three-hour maximum parking periods at certain locations during weekdays.

Some existing parking areas would be shortened to accommodate these new disabled parking facilities.

The municipal administration is seeking public input before finalizing any decisions.

Documentation regarding the proposed changes can be examined at Greenhill Library, Perceval Square, College Road, Harrow, HA1 1GX.

The materials will remain accessible until mid-October, with library opening times set at 10am to 6pm on weekdays and Saturdays, plus 11am to 3pm on Sundays, subject to bank holiday exclusions.

Members of the public can obtain additional information by contacting the council’s transportation division via electronic mail.

Those wishing to register concerns or formal objections must provide a written explanation to the head of traffic, highways, and asset management, citing reference 26-23 ST.

Responses must be submitted by 11.59pm on October 14.

The formal notice was issued on September 24 by the Assistant Director responsible for traffic, highways, and parking matters.

Comprehensive details regarding affected streets, including information on bays scheduled for removal, adjustment, or introduction, are contained within the public notice documentation.
