Grape Tree opens 200th store at St Anns Shopping Centre, Harrow

Grape Tree, a specialist in health-focused food retail, has celebrated the opening of its 200th outlet at St Anns Shopping Centre in Harrow.

The milestone branch has generated six employment opportunities in the local area.

The newly launched store represents the retailer’s 13th site situated within the M25 motorway boundary and forms part of an ambitious programme to broaden its footprint throughout the United Kingdom.

Speaking about the expansion, company representative Oliver Shutts described the launch as a significant statement for a shopping destination in North West London that continues to experience rising consumer interest in premium organic produce offering genuine value.

According to Shutts, the business has long prioritised wholefoods within its product range and remains committed to making nutritious eating more accessible and affordable, whether through pulses, grains, dried produce, wholesome snacks, baking components or its broader natural wellness selection.

The 2,000 square foot outlet offers an extensive array of health and wellness merchandise, encompassing wholefoods, nutrient-dense superfoods, dried fruit, nuts, seeds, vitamins and dietary supplements.

Shutts noted that the Harrow site’s dimensions provide an ideal platform to demonstrate the full scope of Grape Tree’s current offering, enabling customers to access an extensive variety of products while maintaining the value pricing the company has established as its hallmark.

He added that while the 200-store achievement represents a meaningful achievement, considerable potential exists to establish the brand in additional communities across Britain.

The business was established by entrepreneur Nick Shutts and has expanded progressively over the past 14 years.

Earlier in 2024, the company completed a transition to an Employee Ownership Trust structure, a move that has expedited its development strategy.

Following this change, the organisation has launched 10 additional outlets, generated 60 positions and distributed a £100,000 bonus among its workforce.

Grape Tree now maintains a nationwide team exceeding 1,000 employees.
