A door-to-door fraud operation targeting local residents has been reported, in which criminals are impersonating Home Affairs Officers.
The local Safer Neighbourhood Team issued the warning following reports of individuals visiting households and claiming to require identification verification for an upcoming census.
The perpetrators arrive equipped with documentation, official-looking letterheads, and technical devices such as laptops and biometric scanning equipment.
During these visits, residents are asked to provide photographic identification and fingerprint records.
Anyone who believes they may have encountered this scam or been approached by suspicious individuals should report the matter immediately.
