A workplace skills development facility in central Harrow received a visit from the borough’s civic leaders.
Pitman Training North West London welcomed Councillor Yogesh Teli and Neela Teli, serving as mayor and mayoress of Harrow, who engaged with learners, partner organisations, and management staff during their tour.
The facility demonstrated how it assists individuals in gaining employment-ready competencies.
Dr Zain Sikafi, who serves as managing director of Pitman Training North West London, explained that clients approach the organisation at various points in their lives.
Some seek their initial positions in the workforce, others aim to re-enter employment, and many require updated abilities to transition between careers.
The training provider delivers instruction across numerous areas including Microsoft Office applications, business administration, accounting, payroll processing, project management, information technology, software development, and healthcare administration.
The establishment also functions as an approved CITB testing location, presenting a single-day construction programme through which participants who successfully finish the necessary training and assessment can become eligible to pursue a Green Labourer Card.
Mr Sikafi stated that the organisation prioritises ensuring that neurodivergent trainees and those with supplementary support requirements obtain customised assistance and adaptable learning arrangements.
The municipal visit showcased the financial commitment Pitman Training Group has made to the Harrow area.
Paul Lewis holds the position of group managing director at Pitman Training.
He commented that the facility represented a significant capital commitment for the organisation, reflecting belief in Harrow and the surrounding North West London region.
The objective involves establishing an environment where community members, businesses, and voluntary groups can access vocational education that creates genuine employment pathways.
