Joe Swash’s Channel 4 culinary programme Batch from Scratch: Cooking For Less has allegedly been discontinued.
The series, which premiered in February 2025, featured the former EastEnders star alongside culinary specialist Suzanne Mulholland.
The show drew an average viewership of 1.1 million people during its run.
Its stated objective involved assisting households in creating cost-effective, nutritious dishes through bulk preparation techniques.
Additionally, the project sought to position the television personality as a prominent figure within family-oriented entertainment, drawing comparisons to his spouse Stacey Solomon, who previously served as a panellist on Loose Women.
An insider disclosed to The Sun that the transition from soap opera performer to presenter failed to proceed as smoothly as television executives had anticipated.
Prior to the reported cancellation, Channel 4 had actively invited households to submit applications for another installment, referring to the programme as undergoing preliminary production phases and indicating plans to broadcast the following year.
At the time, Mr Swash and Ms Mulholland released a joint communication expressing enthusiasm about continuing to advocate for batch cooking methodology and anticipating future collaboration to enhance family households across the nation.
The programme format had the pair assisting families in reducing expenditure and time expenditure through large-scale meal preparation, with particular emphasis on wholesome nutrition and streamlined cooking procedures.
Although the series has reportedly been dropped, Mr Swash has persisted in publishing batch cooking material through his Instagram profile, with filming conducted at his residential property in Essex.
He shares Pickle Cottage with Ms Solomon and their offspring: Rex, aged seven, Rose, aged five, and Belle, aged three.
