Avanti House Secondary School in Stanmore is marking a milestone after recording its strongest A-level performance to date, coinciding with this year’s GCSE outcomes.
The institution observed that 42.7 percent of all A-level submissions received either an A* or A grade, representing an increase of almost 12 percentage points compared to the previous year.
Exactly 13.1 percent of entries secured the highest A* grade.
According to Simon Arnell, the school’s principal, the accomplishments reflect tremendous dedication from students and the broader Avanti community. He stated that their achievement demonstrates not just their own effort and perseverance but also the consistent backing provided by teachers, parents, and community collaborators who support every student’s development.
Almost 70 percent of marks fell within the A* to B range, at 69.3 percent, while 87.2 percent reached A* to C standard. The mean point total per student climbed from 107.5 to 124.62.
Exceptional results were also seen across numerous disciplines. Further mathematics topped the list with 73.9 percent of entries at A* or A. Geography came next at 67.9 percent, while economics achieved 56.9 percent at the highest grades.
Mathematics, the most popular subject with over 100 entries, had more than 20 percent of grades at A*.
Learners are now heading to various next steps, including places at prestigious institutions within the Oxbridge and Russell Group categories, as well as degree-level apprenticeship programmes with major employers and international companies.
Mr Arnell commented that Avanti House’s purpose centres on nurturing spiritually motivated, caring, and brave young individuals who make constructive contributions to society. He noted that this year’s cohort exemplifies that ideal.
They depart having secured outstanding credentials alongside the integrity, principles, and direction needed to become thoughtful agents of change in whatever profession they choose.
