Students at Park High School are marking another year of impressive A-level outcomes, with 65 per cent obtaining grades from A* through to C.
The Stanmore sixth-form centre performed particularly well in English literature and art and design, where every student secured grades spanning A* to C.
Strong results were also recorded across sociology, photography, drama, computer science, design technology, and business studies.
Colette O’Dwyer, headteacher at Park High, expressed that the day represented an opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding accomplishments of the students, stating she felt tremendous pride in all they had achieved. She noted that the young people had demonstrated resolve and application, and that their results reflected the dedication of the teaching staff who had guided them throughout their time at the school. She added that whether students were progressing to higher education, apprenticeships or promising careers, she wished them every success ahead. She expressed confidence that they would continue to accomplish impressive things while embodying the values and ethos of Park High.
Several students obtained places at Russell Group universities, including programmes such as Sustainable Innovation at Warwick, Business and Health at UCL, and Chemistry at York.
Almost 10 per cent of the class due to graduate in 2026 have selected Queen Mary’s University. Park High indicated that the overwhelming majority of students will be proceeding to university, while others are weighing up apprenticeships or employment.
The school places significant importance on readying students for life beyond their studies. Its annual Futures Week familiarises students with various options available after 18 through presentations and practical sessions delivered by working professionals in fields including finance, law, psychology, medicine and other sectors.
In 2025, Park High received an overall good rating from Ofsted across all areas, with inspectors pointing to the school’s strong history of progression to higher education.
Former students have gone on to pursue subjects including Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford, medicine at King’s College, engineering at UCL, and management at Warwick.
