A survey of 2,000 UK adults discovered 37% give up on their fitness targets within the first month of setting them.
Some 36% find maintaining enthusiasm challenging once the initial enthusiasm fades, while 25% struggle to balance workouts with professional and personal responsibilities.
The research also found 55% consider the recuperation period a drawback, with 89% acknowledging they have forced themselves through exhaustion to hit their daily step or workout goals.
Nevertheless, 82% stated enhancing their physical wellbeing continues to rank among their main objectives, and 54% aim to increase their exercise frequency during the year ahead.
