A fresh on-demand laundry service is now available through a popular food delivery platform, bringing collection and drop-off of dry cleaning and washing straight to people’s homes.
Just Eat has joined forces with Laundryheap to provide door-to-door laundry services via its application.
The initiative launched in the capital on Tuesday, August 18, with expansion planned for Birmingham, Manchester, and Edinburgh during the coming six months.
Caroline Bates, who heads grocery and new verticals at Just Eat UK, explained that warmer months typically result in packed schedules and overflowing closets. She noted that whether someone has cycled to work during the year’s hottest stretches, accumulated a week’s worth of shirts requiring laundering, or needs formal wear professionally freshened before an upcoming event, the company aims to simplify these everyday tasks. According to Bates, the collaboration with Laundryheap represents another move toward establishing the platform as Britain’s primary destination for convenience. She highlighted that consumers already rely on Just Eat for meals, groceries and daily necessities, and can now arrange laundry pickups through the same interface, reducing their workload.
The platform has announced its collaboration with UK-based Laundryheap. Founded in more than 60 metropolitan areas spanning 167 nations, Laundryheap provides patrons with rapid turnaround for dry cleaning, laundering and garment folding services. Its application serves approximately 400,000 users who schedule collection of garments and linens for processing and return within a single day.
Deyan Dimitrov, the company’s founder and chief executive, stated that Laundryheap’s mission is straightforward: streamlining hectic lifestyles. He indicated the enterprise seeks to return valuable hours to clients for activities they prefer by eliminating one of life’s most unwelcome obligations. Dimitrov expressed enthusiasm about joining Just Eat’s effort to transform everyday convenience. He pointed out that UK residents can now arrange evening meals and laundry services simultaneously through one interface, delivered to their residence. According to him, laundry has genuinely become more convenient than ever.
The company noted the service specifically targets summer when elevated temperatures and demanding timetables complicate laundry maintenance. Pricing begins at £1.85 per garment for dry cleaning. Users receive guidance to bundle items in single-use sacks, though packaging will be supplied at the collection point if required. Pickup is guaranteed within two hours of placing an order. While handling and transport carry no charge, standard processing fees apply to each transaction.
