Following weeks of conjecture regarding which retailers would fill vacant spaces at Brent Cross Shopping Centre, it has been confirmed that cosmetics chain Sephora will establish a new outlet there.
This news follows reports by the Ham&High that fashion label Hollister is also entering the north London shopping complex, occupying a 6,500 square foot space.
Numerous customers on social media platforms had urged the international beauty company to open a location at Brent Cross, with Primark and Uniqlo also frequently mentioned as desired additions.
Their requests have now been granted with the launch of a 4,500 square foot shop featuring Sephora’s selection of beauty products alongside exclusive items branded as Only At Sephora.
For those unfamiliar, Sephora holds strong appeal among teenagers and stocks hundreds of well-known labels across cosmetics, skincare, haircare, body care, and fragrances, plus its own affordable Sephora Collection range.
Like its other branches, the Brent Cross location will employ knowledgeable consultants and provide tailored services along with interactive experiences.
A representative from Hammerson, the developer and continued operator of the half-century-old centre, stated that these launches form part of plans to draw in a wider range of shoppers.
The arrival of the California-inspired fashion retailer Hollister, aimed at teenagers and young adults, introduces a youth clothing label with international recognition to the venue.
Sephora UK and Hollister ranked among the most sought-after names by Brent Cross shoppers.
Catherine Wade, Leasing Manager at Hammerson, indicated that Sephora UK represents one of the most recognisable names in global beauty retail and will further strengthen the beauty and lifestyle offer at Brent Cross. She explained that together with Hollister, these brands will provide customers with more exciting reasons to visit and build on the centre’s continued momentum. She noted that these additions reflect the confidence of leading international brands in Brent Cross and the strength of the North London catchment area.
The announcement coincides with Brent Cross’s 50th anniversary celebrations, following numerous recent openings and the signing of 18 lease agreements during the first six months of 2026.
The centre has undergone substantial development recently, with over £20 million invested across the past five years to revamp its offerings and attract premium brands.
Recent newcomers to the collection of more than 120 outlets include a fresh branch of Chinese lifestyle retailer Miniso, expanded Mango store, a sizeable racing and entertainment complex operated by TeamSport, and the District food court.
Brent Cross was constructed on land previously occupied by Hendon Greyhound stadium adjacent to the North Circular Road and became Britain’s inaugural American-style suburban covered retail centre.
