Pinner Parish Preschool is marking six decades of operation with a special celebration bringing together parents, children and employees.
The milestone event featured festivities and cake as the nursery honoured its long history of providing early years education in Pinner.
The gathering also honoured deputy manager Bev Parry, who has devoted three decades to the preschool.
Ms Parry expressed how fortunate she feels to have spent the past 30 years at the setting. She described watching countless children develop self-assurance, find their characters and start their educational journeys as the greatest honour. She noted it had been delightful to welcome former pupils back years later with children of their own, and said she takes pride in being part of such a compassionate and devoted team. She added that reaching the 60th anniversary and celebrating an Outstanding Ofsted rating together made the occasion particularly meaningful.
Committee chair Melinda Chukwuma commended the collaboration and devotion that have kept the preschool running over the decades, stating that 60 years of operation demonstrates the contribution made by families, staff and volunteers who have shaped Pinner Parish Preschool into something unique. She explained that as a charitable organisation, everything prioritises giving children the strongest possible beginning, with every choice made in their interests. She said she feels tremendous pride in the collective accomplishments, noting none would have materialised without the commitment of staff, committee members and supportive parents. She highlighted that the year also offered a fitting moment to acknowledge Bev’s three decades of dedication, describing her as the soul of the preschool whose compassion, expertise and steadfast commitment have influenced numerous young lives. She stated the preschool would not be what it is today without her.
Pinner Parish Preschool operates as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation managed by volunteers, directing all revenue towards delivering high-quality early years learning opportunities for children.
The preschool remains open to welcoming new families from the surrounding area.
