Tesco customers will shortly be able to purchase groceries for swift delivery via Uber Eats and Deliveroo.

The supermarket chain’s fresh collaboration builds upon its current Whoosh delivery offering, providing additional choices for rapid store-to-door shipments.

Tesco revealed that the tie-up will begin in August and extend Clubcard pricing and loyalty points to additional consumers throughout Britain.

Widening the delivery service to encompass Uber Eats and Deliveroo is expected to deliver advantages to a greater number of shoppers.

What advantages will Tesco customers receive from the new delivery options?

Ashwin Prasad, chief executive of Tesco UK, stated that Whoosh has revolutionised how millions of shoppers engage with Tesco, providing rapidity, ease, and excellent value through the Clubcard programme.

Introducing the service through Uber Eats and Deliveroo will allow the company to extend those advantages to additional consumers.

The online operation continues to perform strongly and these partnerships represent another significant advancement in broadening the company’s presence.

By merging Tesco’s leading assortment, quality, and value with the extensive networks of Uber Eats and Deliveroo, making shopping with Tesco more convenient for additional customers in their preferred manner has become achievable.

The agreements mean shoppers will accumulate Clubcard points and access Clubcard pricing on purchases made through both the Uber Eats and Deliveroo platforms.

Saskia De Jongh, vice president at Uber Eats, commented that as Britain’s premier delivery service they are delighted to team up with the country’s largest grocery retailer.

Uber Eats serves more than 90 percent of the British population, with increasing numbers choosing on-demand delivery for everyday necessities.

They are eager to introduce Tesco’s Clubcard pricing and quality products to an even broader customer base this August.

Tesco’s Whoosh offering has provided customers with swift delivery since 2021, guaranteeing groceries within as little as 20 minutes from approximately 1,800 locations.

The company reported that Whoosh revenues increased by 51 percent over the past twelve months, with about 1.5 million customers utilizing the service across Britain.
