The BBC has announced that its beloved sitcom will air one more season before wrapping up for good.
Daddy Issues, which shoots on location in Stockport, will make its comeback across BBC iPlayer and BBC Three.
The six-episode run will feature Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey once again as Gemma and her dad Malcolm.

The programme, conceived and penned by Danielle Ward, has earned the distinction of being BBC Three’s most successful comedy premiere since early 2022.
Its second instalment secured the position of the network’s highest-performing scripted programme throughout 2025.
The series chronicles Gemma’s journey through early motherhood, with backing from her father Malcolm, who means well but proves rather hopeless.
She also relies on her confidante Cherry (played by Taj Atwal), workplace supervisor Rita (Sarah Hadland), and sibling Catherine (Sharon Rooney).
Aimee Lou Wood expressed her enthusiasm about reuniting with David and the talented ensemble for this concluding chapter.
She noted that Gemma and Malcolm constitute one of television’s most hilarious yet heartwarming partnerships, and she treasures her involvement in bringing them to audiences.
David Morrissey shared his passion for the project, praising the exceptional cast and production team.
He mentioned his excitement about returning for further escapades alongside Gemma, Malcolm, and the rest of the characters.
Season three commences a year and a half following the conclusion of the previous run.
Gemma’s youngster Sadie has started nursery education, Gemma has earned a promotion at her workplace, and Malcolm has just purchased an elaborate new washing machine to streamline the household chores.
With patterns becoming more established, Gemma starts contemplating re-entering the dating scene.
Predictably, complications soon emerge.
A romantic rendezvous triggers a chain of problems, and once more, she finds herself depending on her father, potentially marking the moment he finally behaves as the responsible adult she has long wished he could become.
Danielle Ward, the show’s creator and writer, conveyed her delight at producing a third and concluding series of Daddy Issues.
She stated that the Moscrip family holds a special place in her affection, and she will remain perpetually indebted to Aimee and David for portraying them with such remarkable comedic talent.
