A fresh multi-faith facility has been established in north-west London to assist with both spiritual and physical recovery.
The venue, situated at Northwick Park Hospital, was officially opened at a ceremony that saw the presence of faith leaders from the north-west London area, and was created to serve one of Britain’s most multicultural regions.
Rizwan Rawat, the senior chaplain at Northwick Park Hospital, stated that what brings people together is stronger than what keeps them apart, describing it as a space where individuals of all faiths and none can feel at ease while also serving as an area for peaceful reflection.
The renovation was made possible through funding from LNWH Charity, and the space will also accommodate activities including mindfulness sessions and yoga.
Pippa Nightingale, who leads London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, expressed her pleasure at the establishment of a truly welcoming environment, noting the importance of acknowledging the requirements of those receiving and providing care.
