Singers gave live performances as a Harrow restaurant staged an opera night. The show took place at Minori Italian Restaurant on Uxbridge Road, Hatch End, on March 27, as part of the venue’s ongoing series of community events. Restaurateur Andy Fellini hosted the evening, featuring tributes to opera legends Maria Callas, Giuseppe Di Stefano and Luciano Pavarotti. The opera night included performances by Davide Sorrentino, known as 'The New Pavarotti', Giuseppe Barile, who paid tribute to Giuseppe Di Stefano, and Elisabeth Slade, who honoured Maria Callas. Vittorio Plava performed traditional Neapolitan songs during the evening’s interval. Minori Italian Restaurant, named after a town on the Amalfi Coast, is known for its eco-friendly approach, serving sourdough pizza and fresh pasta while maintaining a zero-waste policy. I have always strived to bring the West End to Hatch End, and I am extremely pleased to hear that the local community, Harrow Council and politicians across the spectrum praise Minori for our work and courage in these challenging times." Mr Fellini, who has worked in Hatch End for 42 years, is known not only for his culinary work but also for his support of charitable causes. He is currently working on his memoir, titled The Amazing Life of Andy Surace. The restaurant recently held an Irish Night to celebrate St Patrick’s Day and offers a 'Hero Discount' scheme, giving a permanent 15 per cent discount to serving and retired members of the UK armed forces and emergency services.
