Multiple porridge varieties sold by MOMA Foods are being taken off shelves at major supermarkets including Tesco, Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s over concerns about possible mouse contamination.
The manufacturer is withdrawing several porridge pot and sachet lines from sale after discovering potential contamination issues at their manufacturing plant, which means the products should not be eaten.
The Food Standards Agency has urged consumers to refrain from eating the affected items and bring them back to the retailer for a full refund.
The recall was announced on Sunday 22 March 2026. Various porridge pots and sachet products are being pulled from shelves because of possible mouse contamination.
Nine MOMA Foods porridge products are included in the recall, according to information published on the company’s website and the FSA.
The affected products include the Almond Butter and Salted Caramel Porridge Pot in 55g size available in single, eight-pack, and twelve-pack options, with batch codes M5296, M5297, M5303, M5304, M5315, M5339, and M5342. The Apple, Cinnamon and Brown Sugar Porridge Pot in 65g size comes in single and eight-pack versions with codes M5261, M5328, M5329, M6026, and M6027. The Banana and Peanut Butter Protein Porridge Pot in 65g size is sold individually or in packs of eight with batch codes M5248, M5251, M5304, and M5307. The Blueberry and Vanilla Porridge Pot in 65g size is available in single and eight-pack options with codes M5283, M5284, M5285, M5335, M5336, M6027, and M6028. The Cranberry and Raisin Porridge Pot in 70g size comes in single, eight-pack, and twelve-pack versions with batch codes M5293, M5294, M5295, M5321, M5322, M5329, M5330, and M5331. The Golden Syrup Porridge Pot in 70g size is sold in single, eight-pack, and twelve-pack options with codes M5241, M5244, M5245, M5261, M5293, M5311, M5314, M5346, and M5349. The Plain No-Added Sugar Porridge Pot in 65g size comes in single and twelve-pack versions with batch codes M5279, M5280, M5281, M5308, M5309, M5310, M5311, and M5345. The Almond Butter and Salted Caramel Porridge Sachets in a 7x40g pack are available in single and five-pack options with codes M5289 and M5290. The Apple, Cinnamon and Brown Sugar Porridge Sachets in a 6x40g pack come in single and five-pack versions with batch codes M5293, M5294, and M5295.
According to the company, while the chances of contamination impacting any of these items remain low, this precautionary step has been taken to protect customers.
The business has confirmed that no other products are affected by this issue.
Both MOMA Foods and the FSA have told customers not to eat the nine porridge products included in the recall.
The company has said that anyone who has purchased the affected items should not consume them. Instead, they should return them to the shop where they were purchased, and a full refund will be issued.
